In a meaningful gesture of care and solidarity, SMC CEMPC extended its support to the Ramon Durano Foundation Home for the Aged<\/strong> in November 2024<\/strong> by providing basic needs donations<\/strong> and conducting a feeding program<\/strong> for 30 senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs)<\/strong>. This compassionate initiative was part of the organization\u2019s ongoing social responsibility efforts to uplift the lives of vulnerable and often overlooked members of society.<\/p>\n

Recognizing the unique needs of the elderly and differently-abled, the outreach focused on both nourishment and necessity. The team distributed essential items such as hygiene kits, clothing, adult diapers, blankets, and other daily necessities to help improve the living conditions of the residents. These donations were carefully curated to ensure comfort, dignity, and support for the beneficiaries’ physical and personal care.<\/p>\n

Volunteers and staff engaged with the seniors and PWDs through light games, songs, and personal conversations, reinforcing the message that they are not forgotten\u2014that they are valued, respected, and loved.\u201cThis initiative reminds us that service goes beyond material support\u2014it\u2019s about presence, compassion, and human connection,\u201d shared Junrey Tumalon, General Manager of SMC CEMPC. \u201cOur elderly and PWD communities deserve not just care, but dignity and joy in their later years.<\/p>\n
